📋 Important Notice
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement. By using AlgoJob, you agree to all terms outlined below. Please read carefully before proceeding.
Company Information
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms", "ToS", or "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and AlgoRoot Private Limited ("AlgoRoot", "Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the AlgoJob platform and all associated services.
1.2 By accessing, browsing, registering on, or using the AlgoJob platform (including website, mobile application, and any other digital interfaces), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
1.3 If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the AlgoJob platform and all associated services.
1.4 These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including but not limited to students, job-seekers, educational institutions, businesses, recruiters, and corporate clients.
1.5 By using our services, you also agree to comply with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Eligibility
You must meet certain eligibility requirements to use the AlgoJob platform:
- •You must be at least 18 years of age. Users between 13 and 18 may use the platform only with parental or guardian supervision and approval.
- •All information provided during registration must be accurate, current, and complete.
- •Corporate users must be duly authorized to represent their organization.
- •Prohibited users include those previously suspended, competitors seeking misuse, individuals engaged in fraudulent activities, and automated bots.
3. User Accounts and Verification
3.1 To access certain features of AlgoJob, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information including name, email address, phone number, educational background, professional experience, and other requested details.
3.2 AlgoJob offers different account types: Student/Job-Seeker, Business/Recruiter, and Enterprise accounts.
3.3 You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, all activities conducted through your account, promptly notifying AlgoRoot of any unauthorized access, and using strong passwords and two-factor authentication if available.
3.4 AlgoRoot may require identity verification via email, phone (OTP), document verification (government ID, student ID, certificates, business registration), and video or biometric verification for specific services.
3.5 You must ensure all account information remains current, accurate, and complete and promptly update changes.
3.6 Account sharing is prohibited. Each user must maintain their own account.
3.7 AlgoRoot may suspend, restrict, or terminate any account at its sole discretion for violations or to protect the platform, users, or AlgoRoot's interests.
4. Use of Platform
4.1 Permitted Uses — Students & Job-Seekers
- •Creating and maintaining professional profiles
- •Participating in hackathons, coding competitions, and skill challenges
- •Taking mock interviews (coding, AI, HR, technical)
- •Submitting resumes for AI-based evaluation and shortlisting
- •Accessing learning resources, skill development materials, and career guidance
- •Applying for job opportunities posted by businesses
- •Receiving feedback on interview performance and technical assessments
- •Earning rewards for legitimate participation and achievements
4.1 Permitted Uses — Businesses & Recruiters
- •Posting job openings and internship opportunities
- •Accessing AI-powered resume screening and candidate shortlisting
- •Conducting AI-based interview assessments
- •Evaluating candidates through technical, HR, and behavioral assessments
- •Accessing analytics and reports on candidate performance
- •Managing recruitment workflows and candidate pipelines
- •Organizing hackathons and competitions to identify talent
4.2 Prohibited Uses — Fraudulent Activities
- •Providing false, misleading, or inaccurate information
- •Impersonating another person or entity
- •Creating multiple accounts to manipulate results or gain unfair advantages
- •Using someone else's credentials, resume, or work without authorization
4.2 Prohibited Uses — Cheating & Misconduct
- •Plagiarism or submitting others' work in hackathons or assessments
- •Using unfair means during interviews or assessments (including unauthorized help, external tools, or AI assistance where prohibited)
- •Manipulating interview recordings, assessment results, or platform data
- •Colluding with other users to manipulate competition outcomes
4.2 Prohibited Uses — Technical Abuse
- •Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform or systems
- •Using automated scripts, bots, spiders, or scrapers
- •Introducing viruses, malware, trojans, or malicious code
- •Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code
- •Interfering with platform functionality, servers, or networks
- •Bypassing security measures or access controls
4.2 Prohibited Uses — Harmful Content & Conduct
- •Uploading unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or pornographic content
- •Harassment, bullying, stalking, or intimidation
- •Discrimination based on protected characteristics
- •IP rights violations of AlgoRoot or third parties
- •Spam or unsolicited advertisements
- •Any activity violating applicable laws or regulations
4.2 Prohibited Uses — Business Misuse
- •Recruiting for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- •Collecting user data beyond legitimate recruitment
- •Using candidate information in violation of data protection laws
- •Misrepresenting job opportunities, compensation, or work conditions
4.3 Monitoring & Enforcement
- •AlgoRoot may monitor activity, investigate violations, and take action including warnings, suspension, or termination

5. AI Services Disclaimer
AlgoJob utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. Please note:
- •NO GUARANTEE OF ACCURACY: AlgoRoot makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated evaluations, scores, recommendations, or assessments.
- •AI systems may produce errors, biases, inconsistencies, or unexpected results due to inherent limitations of machine learning technology.
- •NO JOB PLACEMENT GUARANTEE: AlgoJob DOES NOT guarantee job placement, employment, or hiring outcomes for any user.
- •Performance on AlgoJob assessments does not guarantee selection, job offers, or employment by any organization.
- •AI evaluations should be considered as one input among many factors and should not be solely relied upon.
- •Users are responsible for understanding the limitations of AI-based assessments.
6. Services Provided
AlgoJob provides the following services, which may be expanded or modified at AlgoRoot's discretion:
6.1 Hackathons and Competitions
- •Technical coding competitions with defined problem statements and evaluation criteria
- •Innovation challenges requiring project submissions
- •Skill-based challenges across various domains
- •Timed competitions with leaderboards and rankings
- •Team-based and individual competition formats
6.2 Mock Interview Services
- •Mock Coding Interviews: Technical coding assessments with automated or AI-based evaluation
- •Mock AI Interviews: AI-powered interview simulations with natural language interaction
- •Mock HR Interviews: Behavioral and situational interview practice with feedback
- •Mock Technical Interviews: Domain-specific technical assessments
- •Interview recordings, performance analytics, and improvement suggestions
6.3 AI-Based Assessment Services
- •Resume Evaluation: Automated parsing, scoring, and analysis of resumes against job requirements
- •Resume Shortlisting: AI-powered candidate ranking and filtering for recruiters
- •Interview Assessment: Automated evaluation of interview responses (technical, behavioral, communication)
- •Skill Gap Analysis: Identification of candidate strengths and development areas
- •Predictive Hiring Analytics: AI-driven insights on candidate suitability
6.4 Skill Development and Learning
- •Skill-based challenges and practice problems
- •Learning pathways and recommended resources
- •Performance tracking and progress analytics
- •Peer comparison and benchmarking
6.5 Reward Distribution
- •Monetary rewards, prizes, or recognition for top performers
- •Digital certificates and badges
- •Profile boosts and visibility enhancements
- •Access to exclusive opportunities
6.6 Business Solutions
- •Recruitment workflow automation
- •Candidate pipeline management
- •Custom assessment design
- •Analytics dashboards and reporting
- •API access for integration with existing systems (where applicable)
6.7 Additional Services
- •AI Consulting: Custom AI solution development for businesses
- •RPA (Robotic Process Automation): Automation of business processes
- •Software Development: Custom software solutions and applications
- •Automation Projects: External client projects involving AI, automation, or digital transformation
- •Future AI-Driven Tools: New features, services, or products introduced by AlgoRoot
6.8 Scope of Terms
- •These Terms apply to all digital services offered by AlgoRoot unless a separate written agreement is executed
- •For external consulting or enterprise projects, these Terms apply unless superseded by project agreements
- •AlgoRoot may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue services at any time without prior notice
7. Hackathons and Rewards
7.1 Participation Eligibility
- •Participation is open to eligible users meeting event requirements (age, location, skills, team size)
- •Certain competitions may be restricted to specific segments (students, professionals, institutions)
- •Employees, contractors, and immediate family of AlgoRoot may be restricted to avoid conflicts of interest
7.2 Competition Rules
- •Each event will publish rules, guidelines, problem statements, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements
- •Participants must adhere to all rules, deadlines, and technical requirements
- •Participants are responsible for understanding rules before participation
7.3 Submission Requirements
- •Submissions must be original work, completed within the timeframe, and submitted via designated channels
- •Comply with technical specifications and format requirements
- •Late submissions will not be accepted unless specified
- •Documentation, source code, explanations, or demonstrations may be required
7.4 Evaluation and Judging
- •Evaluated based on correctness, functionality, code quality, innovation, applicability, and documentation
- •May include automated testing, AI-based assessment, manual review by judges, or a combination
- •AlgoRoot's decisions are final and binding; appeals only for technical errors or fraud
7.5 Winning Criteria
- •Winners determined by highest scores or rankings per criteria
- •Tiebreakers may include submission time, code efficiency, or other specified criteria
- •No winner may be declared if minimum quality standards are not met
7.6 Disqualification Conditions
- •Academic dishonesty (plagiarism, non-original work, prohibited libraries/tools)
- •Fraudulent conduct (multiple accounts, impersonation, manipulating systems or scores, false information)
- •Technical violations (hacking, disruption, exploiting vulnerabilities, reverse engineering)
- •Violation of Terms, competition rules, or prohibited conduct in Section 4.2
- •Misconduct (harassment, disruptive or unethical behavior, legal violations)
7.7 Reward Distribution Policy
- •Rewards may include cash, vouchers, merchandise, certificates, badges, job opportunities, credits, or subscriptions
- •Eligibility requires full rule compliance and timely response to notifications (typically 7–14 days)
- •Provide accurate payment info, tax details (PAN for Indian residents), and identity verification
- •Rewards typically distributed within 30–90 days; delays may occur
- •Winners are responsible for taxes; TDS may be deducted; documentation provided as required
- •Rewards are non-transferable and may be substituted with equivalents
7.8 Investigation and Fraud Prevention
- •AlgoRoot may investigate, request documentation or demonstrations, delay distribution, or disqualify
- •If fraud or violations are discovered at any time, AlgoRoot may revoke status, withhold or reclaim rewards, terminate accounts, or take legal action
- •Participants agree to cooperate fully with investigations
7.9 Intellectual Property in Competitions
- •Participants retain ownership of original submissions, subject to license in Section 11
- •Non-exclusive license granted to AlgoRoot to use, display, and promote submissions
- •Winning solutions, code snippets, or project descriptions may be showcased publicly with attribution
7.10 Liability Disclaimer
- •AlgoRoot is not responsible for technical failures, connectivity issues, or downtime
- •Participants should maintain backups; loss of submissions due to technical errors is not AlgoRoot's liability
- •Participation is at your own risk; AlgoRoot disclaims liability for damages, losses, or disputes
8. Business Services Terms
8.1 Services for Business Clients
- •AI-powered resume screening and candidate shortlisting
- •Automated interview assessments (technical, HR, behavioral)
- •Recruitment workflow automation
- •Candidate management and applicant tracking
- •Custom hackathons and talent discovery competitions
- •Analytics and reporting on recruitment metrics
- •API access for integration with HR systems (where applicable)
8.2 Business Account Terms
- •Business accounts may have subscription fees, usage-based pricing, or enterprise agreements
- •Authorized representatives must manage accounts; all users must comply with these Terms
- •Businesses are responsible for compliance with employment, anti-discrimination, and data protection laws
8.3 AI Interview Automation
- •AI assessments supplement human judgment and do not replace hiring decisions
- •AI may not capture all aspects of candidate suitability; businesses remain responsible for compliance
- •AI must not be used in discriminatory ways or violate candidate rights
8.4 Resume Shortlisting AI
- •Ranks candidates based on requirements, skills matching, and predictive algorithms
- •Define clear job requirements, review shortlists with human oversight, and provide feedback to improve accuracy
- •No guarantee of identifying the 'best' candidates; suitability depends on many factors
8.5 Data Privacy Responsibilities
- •Businesses act as Data Controllers; AlgoRoot acts as Data Processor
- •Obtain candidate consent, provide privacy notices, and comply with DPDP Act and IT Act
- •Implement security measures, report breaches, and ensure confidentiality
- •Comply with data retention policies and honor deletion requests
- •Facilitate candidate rights to access, correct, or delete personal data
8.6 Custom Solutions and Enterprise Agreements
- •Custom features or integrations may require separate enterprise agreements
- •Enterprise agreement terms prevail over general Terms in case of conflict
8.7 Service Level and Availability
- •AlgoRoot aims for availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- •Maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen issues may result in temporary disruptions
- •Service level commitments, if any, are specified in enterprise agreements
9. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property in the AlgoJob platform belongs to AlgoRoot:
- •Software code, algorithms, AI models, platform design, UI/UX, and training data are owned by AlgoRoot or licensors
- •Brand names, logos, trademarks (AlgoRoot, AlgoJob) are proprietary marks
- •Limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license granted to users for intended purposes
- •No copying, modification, distribution, reverse engineering, or creation of derivative works
- •No removal of proprietary notices; no framing or mirroring without authorization
- •Feedback grants AlgoRoot a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license
- •Third-party materials remain property of their owners; comply with their licenses

10.3 Independent Terms
- •Third-Party Services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; you must review and comply
10.4 No Liability
- •AlgoRoot is not responsible for content, accuracy, availability, damages, data practices, or disputes of third parties
10.5 Data Sharing
- •When you authorize integrations, certain data may be shared; review third-party privacy policies
10.6 Modifications
- •Integrations may change or be discontinued without notice; AlgoRoot is not liable for impacts
11. Data Privacy and Security

- •Comments, feedback, forum posts, messages
- •Any other content created or uploaded by you
12.2 Your Responsibilities
- •You own rights or have permissions; content is accurate and lawful
- •No violations of third-party rights or laws; no viruses/malware
- •Do not upload confidential third-party info without authorization
- •No false, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal content; no spam
12.3 License Grant to AlgoRoot
- •Non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to use/process/store/display/analyze content
- •Resume/applications: parse, match jobs, present to employers, generate insights
- •Competitions: evaluate/score, display winners, educational/promotional use, showcase capabilities
- •License continues for content shared with third parties even after you stop using AlgoJob
12.4 Ownership Retention
- •You retain ownership; license does not transfer ownership
- •You may delete content subject to technical limits and legal retention
- •Backups may retain deleted content for limited periods
12.5 Content Moderation
- •AlgoRoot may monitor/review/screen and remove or refuse content; may suspend repeat violators
- •Automated systems and AI may detect prohibited content
- •Moderation decisions are at AlgoRoot's sole discretion
12.6 Resume and Application Content
- •Ensure accuracy; no false credentials or fabricated experience
- •Employers may verify information; employers may store resumes after applications
12.7 Code and Technical Submissions
- •Original work or properly attributed open-source; no proprietary employer/client code without authorization
- •Comply with open-source licenses; content may be analyzed/tested by automated systems
- •You grant rights to execute, compile, and test code for evaluation
12.8 Backup and Data Loss
- •Maintain your own copies of important content
- •AlgoRoot is not liable for loss, corruption, or deletion due to technical failures or other reasons
12.9 Public Content
- •Public profile, competition submissions (winners or consent), forum posts, reviews/testimonials may be public
- •Public content may be indexed and shared; use caution with sensitive information
13. Prohibited Conduct
13.1 General Prohibitions
- •Violates laws
- •Harms others (threats, harassment, abuse, defamation, intimidation)
- •Infringes IP, privacy, publicity, or other rights
- •Fraud, misrepresentation, or deceptive practices
- •Interferes with platform, servers, networks, or other users
13.2 Academic and Professional Integrity
- •Cheating: unauthorized assistance, accessing answers, proxy assessments, prohibited tools/AI in proctored settings
- •Plagiarism: copying without attribution, submitting others' work, improper use of repositories
- •Resume fraud: fabricating credentials, misrepresenting titles/responsibilities/achievements
- •Impersonation: accounts using another's identity, impersonating businesses/recruiters/users, misrepresenting affiliation
13.3 Technical Abuse and Security Violations
- •Unauthorized access, bypassing authentication/security, exploiting vulnerabilities
- •Malicious activities: viruses, worms, trojans, malware; denial-of-service; overwhelming servers
- •Data scraping: bots/scrapers/crawlers; harvesting info; circumventing rate limits
- •Reverse engineering, extracting algorithms/models, creating derivative products
13.4 Commercial Misuse
- •Unauthorized commercial use, reselling, redistributing, or commercializing access
- •Using platform data for competing services
- •Spam and solicitation, MLM/pyramid schemes, repetitive/irrelevant content
13.5 Discrimination and Harassment
- •Businesses/recruiters must not discriminate based on protected characteristics or post unlawful listings
- •No sexual harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or hostile environments
13.6 Manipulation and Gaming
- •Score manipulation: inflating scores/ratings/rankings; multiple accounts; coordinated influence
- •Review manipulation: fake reviews/testimonials; incentives for positive reviews; biased/fraudulent feedback
13.7 Consequences
- •Removal of content; warnings; temporary/permanent suspension
- •Disqualification and reward forfeiture
- •Reporting to law enforcement; legal action; blacklisting
14. Reward and Prize Policy
14.1 General Reward Terms
- •Rewards subject to competition rules, these Terms, and applicable laws/taxes
- •Participation does not guarantee a reward
14.2 Eligibility for Rewards
- •Comply with rules and Terms; meet competition eligibility; provide accurate info/docs; be in good standing; respond within timeframes
- •AlgoRoot may verify eligibility at any time
14.3 Reward Modifications and Cancellations
- •AlgoRoot may modify, substitute, cancel, postpone, or adjust rules with notice when needed
- •No rewards for cancelled competitions; no liability for preparation costs or opportunity costs
14.4 Investigation and Verification
- •AlgoRoot may request documentation, interviews, code reviews; delay distribution; consult experts
- •Non-cooperation may result in disqualification
14.5 Fraud Detection and Consequences
- •Fraud or violations may revoke status; withhold/reclaim rewards; terminate accounts; pursue legal action; require return of rewards
- •Examples: plagiarism, multiple accounts, collusion, unauthorized assistance, false information, identity fraud
14.6 No Guarantee of Rewards
- •AlgoRoot retains discretion even if criteria are met
- •No obligation to award if quality standards unmet or fraud suspected
- •External factors (processing failures, legal restrictions, force majeure) may affect rewards
14.7 Reward Distribution Process
- •Winners notified via email/platform (typically 7–30 days); must respond within 7–14 days
- •Provide ID, PAN (India), bank/UPI details, address proof, tax forms; distribution typically 30–90 days after verification and compliance
- •Payment methods: bank transfer, UPI, wallets, vouchers, physical prizes, platform credits
14.8 Tax Obligations
- •Winners are responsible for taxes; TDS may be deducted under applicable sections
- •Higher TDS may apply if PAN not provided; documentation (Form 16A) issued as required
- •International winners may face withholding per local laws
14.9 Publicity Rights
- •Consent to use name, photo, city/state, winning submission, testimonials for promotion
- •Objection within 7 days may affect eligibility
14.10 Non-Transferability
- •Rewards cannot be assigned, transferred, exchanged (unless reward is cash), substituted, or combined unless specified
- •Rewards awarded to the registered account holder only
14.11 Disputes Regarding Rewards
- •AlgoRoot decisions are final and binding; disputes only for clear technical error or procedural irregularity
- •Raise disputes within 14 days
15. Payment, Subscription, and Refunds
15.1 Pricing and Fees
- •Free services available for many individual users
- •Paid services may include subscriptions, advanced features, business/enterprise solutions, API access
- •Pricing displayed on platform or in quotations
- •AlgoRoot may modify pricing with reasonable notice for new purchases or renewals
15.2 Payment Terms
- •Payment methods: cards, net banking, UPI/wallets, gateways (Razorpay, PayU), bank transfers (enterprise)
- •Prices in INR unless stated
- •Payments processed via secure gateways; AlgoRoot does not store complete card info
- •Providing payment info authorizes charges
- •Taxes (GST, etc.) may apply
15.3 Subscriptions
- •Offered monthly/quarterly/annually; may auto-renew unless cancelled
- •Notified before renewal; charges at then-current rates
- •Cancel anytime via account or support; effective end of current period
15.4 Refund Policy
- •Refunds at AlgoRoot's discretion and per law; eligibility depends on service type, circumstances, timing

16. Termination of Accounts
16.1 Termination by You
- •You may terminate your account anytime via platform settings or contacting support@algorootglobal.com
- •Effect: Access terminated; profile/data deleted or anonymized per Privacy Policy; some data retained as legally required or for legitimate purposes (completed transactions, compliance, fraud prevention)
- •Content shared with third parties (job applications, submissions) may remain accessible to those parties
- •Voluntary termination does not entitle you to refunds except as provided in Refund Policy
16.2 Termination by AlgoRoot
- •AlgoRoot may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account with or without notice for: Terms violations; fraud/identity theft/payment fraud; compromised security or suspicious activity; legal requirements/court orders; discontinuation of services/restructuring/inactivity
- •Serious violations (fraud, illegal activity, security threats) may result in immediate termination without prior warning
- •Accounts may be suspended temporarily during investigation of suspected violations
16.3 Consequences of Termination
- •Upon termination by AlgoRoot: lose access to services/account data; pending rewards may be forfeited; paid subscriptions may not be refunded (except as required by law); prohibited from creating new accounts; outstanding obligations survive
- •Data Retention: AlgoRoot may retain data as permitted or required by law for legal compliance, fraud prevention, enforcement, and dispute resolution
16.4 Survival of Terms
- •The following survive termination: Intellectual Property Rights (Section 9), User-Generated Content licenses (Section 12.3), Limitation of Liability (Section 17), Indemnification (Section 18), Governing Law and Jurisdiction (Section 19), and any obligations incurred prior to termination
17. Limitation of Liability

- •THE ALGOJOB PLATFORM AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
- •ALGOROOT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES: merchantability, fitness for purpose, title, non-infringement; accuracy of AI assessments/evaluations/scores/recommendations; availability (uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free); outcome warranties (job placement, employment, hiring, career success); data accuracy, completeness, or reliability
- •ALGOROOT DOES NOT WARRANT: the platform will meet your requirements/expectations; AI systems will be accurate, unbiased, or error-free; defects will be corrected; platform/servers are free of viruses or harmful components; results will be reliable or accurate
17.2 Exclusion of Damages
- •TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALGOROOT IS NOT LIABLE FOR: Indirect damages (loss of profits, revenue, business, data, goodwill, reputation); Consequential damages from platform use or inability to use; Incidental damages (costs of substitute services, lost opportunities); Special or punitive damages regardless of theory of liability
- •This exclusion applies even if AlgoRoot has been advised of the possibility of such damages
17.3 Cap on Liability
- •ALGOROOT'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED: For paid services: amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or INR 10,000, whichever is less; For free services: INR 1,000
- •This cap applies regardless of form of action: contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise
17.4 Specific Service Limitations
- •AI Services: Not liable for inaccurate AI assessments, hiring decisions based on AI, discrimination/bias in AI, AI failure to identify qualified candidates or predict performance
- •Competition and Rewards: Not liable for disqualification, non-receipt of rewards due to eligibility, changes/cancellations of competitions, disputes regarding competition outcomes
- •Job Placement: Not liable for failure to secure employment, quality/suitability of job opportunities, employer conduct/employment terms, interview outcomes/hiring decisions
- •Third-Party Services: Not liable for third-party actions/content/services, payment gateway failures, third-party data breaches/security issues, third-party policy changes/service discontinuation
- •Data Loss: Not liable for loss, corruption, or deletion of user data, submissions, or content
17.5 Force Majeure
- •Not liable for failure or delay due to circumstances beyond reasonable control: Acts of God (natural disasters, pandemics); war, terrorism, civil unrest; government actions/laws/regulations; internet/telecommunications failures; power outages/infrastructure failures; labor disputes/strikes; supplier/vendor failures
17.6 Jurisdictional Variations
- •Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages
- •In such jurisdictions, liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law
- •These limitations do not affect any statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract under Indian law
17.7 Basis of the Bargain
- •You acknowledge that AlgoRoot has set prices and entered into this Agreement in reliance upon the disclaimers and limitations set forth herein
- •These disclaimers and limitations reflect a reasonable and fair allocation of risk and form an essential basis of the bargain
18. Indemnification
18.1 Your Indemnification Obligation
- •You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AlgoRoot Parties from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including attorneys' fees) arising from:
- •Your Use of Platform: access/use of AlgoJob; violation of these Terms; violation of laws/regulations
- •Your Content: User-Generated Content; infringement of IP or other rights; false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- •Your Conduct: prohibited conduct or Section 13 violations; fraud, cheating, dishonest behavior in competitions/assessments; harassment, discrimination, harmful actions
- •Third-Party Claims: claims by employers/recruiters/users from your interactions; disputes from job applications/professional conduct; injury/loss/damage to third parties caused by your actions
- •Data Misuse: unauthorized use/disclosure of other users' personal information; violations of data protection/privacy laws; security breaches caused by your negligence
18.2 Defense and Settlement
- •AlgoRoot reserves the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification
- •You agree to cooperate fully in defense of any claim
- •You may not settle any claim without AlgoRoot's prior written consent
18.3 Notice Requirement
- •AlgoRoot will provide prompt notice of any claim for which indemnification is sought
- •Failure to provide timely notice does not relieve you of indemnification obligations except to the extent you are materially prejudiced by the delay
18.4 Survival
- •Your indemnification obligations survive termination of your account and these Terms
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
19.1 Governing Law
- •These Terms and your use of AlgoJob shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law provisions
- •Applicable laws include: Indian Contract Act, 1872; Information Technology Act, 2000 and amendments; Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; Consumer Protection Act, 2019; other relevant Indian statutes
19.2 Jurisdiction and Venue
- •Exclusive Jurisdiction: Any disputes, claims, or controversies shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India
- •You irrevocably consent to jurisdiction of such courts and waive objection to venue
- •This does not prevent AlgoRoot from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in any jurisdiction where you may be found or where a violation may occur
19.3 Dispute Resolution
- •Informal Resolution: Before formal proceedings, contact support@algorootglobal.com
- •Negotiation Period: Good faith negotiations for 30 days
- •Arbitration (Optional): If informal resolution fails, parties may agree to binding arbitration per Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (English; venue Bhubaneswar or mutually agreed; arbitrator's decision final and binding; each party bears own costs unless arbitrator determines otherwise)
- •Court Proceedings: If arbitration not agreed, disputes resolved through litigation in courts specified in Section 19.2
19.4 Class Action Waiver
- •Individual Basis Only: Resolve disputes with AlgoRoot on individual basis, not as part of class, consolidated, or representative action
- •No Class Arbitration: If arbitration pursued, conducted on individual basis
- •This waiver does not apply where prohibited by law or where consumer protection laws grant non-waivable rights to participate in class actions
19.5 Limitation Period
- •Any claim or cause of action must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arose, or such claim shall be permanently barred
- •This does not apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer protection laws
19.6 Language
- •These Terms are drafted in English. If translated, English version prevails in case of conflict or ambiguity
19.7 Waiver of Immunity
- •To the extent permitted by law, you waive any right to claim sovereign immunity or similar defense in any legal proceeding arising from these Terms
20. Changes to Terms of Service

- •AlgoRoot reserves the right to modify, amend, update, or replace these Terms at any time, at its sole discretion
- •Modifications may be made for: changes in laws/regulations; new features/services; security/privacy enhancements; clarifications; addressing user feedback/operational needs; changes in business practices
20.2 Notice of Changes
- •Material changes notified by: posting on platform homepage; email to registered address; prominent notification on login; updating "Last Updated" date
- •Minor or non-material changes (typos, clarifications) may be updated without specific notice
20.3 Effective Date of Changes
- •For existing users: 30 days after notice, unless you object by terminating your account
- •For new users: Immediately upon posting for users who create accounts after changes
- •For material changes significantly affecting your rights, we may provide longer notice or require affirmative acceptance
20.4 Acceptance of Changes
- •Continued Use Constitutes Acceptance: Continuing to use AlgoJob after changes become effective means you agree to modified Terms
- •Right to Reject: If you do not agree, you must discontinue using the platform and may terminate your account
- •Termination due to disagreement with modified Terms does not entitle you to refunds except as provided in Refund Policy

- •AlgoRoot maintains records of previous versions for transparency and legal compliance

20.6 Responsibility to Review
- •You are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms to stay informed of updates

21. General Provisions
21.1 Entire Agreement
- •These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any additional terms applicable to specific services, constitute the entire agreement between you and AlgoRoot
- •These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and proposals (oral, written, or electronic)
21.2 Severability
- •If any provision is invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed
- •Invalidity or unenforceability does not affect the remaining provisions
21.3 Waiver
- •Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver
- •No waiver of any breach/default is a waiver of subsequent breaches/defaults
- •Waivers must be in writing and signed by an authorized AlgoRoot representative
21.4 Assignment
- •You may not assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms without AlgoRoot's prior written consent; attempted assignments are void
- •AlgoRoot may freely assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms in connection with corporate transactions
- •These Terms bind and benefit permitted successors and assigns
21.5 Force Majeure
- •Neither party is liable for failure or delay due to causes beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, war, terrorism, government actions, strikes, outages, cyber attacks)
- •Affected party must notify the other and use reasonable efforts to minimize impact
- •If force majeure continues over 60 days, either party may terminate affected services upon written notice
21.6 Relationship of Parties
- •Independent contractors; no partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, franchise, or fiduciary relationship
- •No party may bind the other without prior written consent

21.14 Beta Features

- •Unless you object in writing, AlgoRoot may identify you as a customer/user in promotional materials (for business clients)
